The concept

With the Hexagone Collection, we want to help you discover the most prestigious forests in France for the maturation of your wines and to create harmony and the perfect match between oak and your wine !
Each year, we introduce a new barrel from a new forest, a barrel numbered and in limited edition, so you can introduce an innovative and original product into your winery : a new prestigious vessel that will bring to light the French forests, and your most prestigious wines !
Due to the scarcity of the oaks chosen, the Hexagone barrels are only available in 228 L, Burgundy shape, with 8 Steel or chestnut hoops.

Our Tour de France of the French forests started in 2018 with the Rambouillet barrel, which has been highly successful !

2019 : Focus on Bellême

The state forest of Bellême is one of the most beautiful forests of the Perche area of Normandy in the Northwest of France. It covers 2,428 hectares (6000 acres), and has long been renowned for its century-old beech and oak trees.
The best oaks grow in the western part of the forest, where the terrain becomes hilly due to numerous small streams that spring from or cross the forest.

The oak tree thought to be the oldest is called « The Oak of the School », and was planted in 1666 ; it stands 42 meters high, and is a tourist attraction ! Another remarkable feature of the forest appears in autumn when 400 different species of mushrooms emerge and foraging tours are popular.

The Bellême Hexagone barrel is recommended for your premium red wines and for long ageing periods. (18 months and more). It will bring charm and structure to your wines, with a unique concentration of strength and finesse !
It is available in 228L in limited and numbered edition (250 units).
4 toastings are available : L, ML, M+, Forte (ML is advised).
